Descriptions of Services
New Telephone Service This is basic, single line telephone service.. The cost includes a $10.00 membership fee. If you already have a membership with Eastex Telephone Cooperative, any additional "New Telephone Services" will not include the $10.00 membership fee.
Takeover Existing Telephone Service This is if you move into a residence/business with existing telephone service and retain the service without interruption. The cost includes a $10.00 membership fee. If you already have a membership with Eastex Telephone Cooperative, any additional "New Telephone Services" will not include the $10.00 membership fee.
Inside Wiring/Jack Installation This is the cost of the first wire/jack installation. Additional wiring/jack installations during the same visit will cost $65.00 per incident.
Directory Name Change This is for directory name change only, this does not cover the billing/membership name being changed.
Call Forwarding This feature means your phone can transfer incoming calls to another number of your choice. Call Forwarding is great for the businessperson who wants to catch after-hours business calls at home, or for anyone who doesn't want to miss an important call.
Call Forwarding - Remote Access enables a customer to activate call forwarding from a remote location. This feature is great for the person who is on the move and needs to change the number their calls are being forwarded to. This is available for touch-tone only.
Call Forwarding - No Answer enables an incoming call to be automatically directed to a predetermined alternate telephone number if the call is not answered after a specified number of rings.
Call Forwarding - Busy enables an incoming call to be automatically directed to a predetermined alternate telephone number if a busy signal is encountered when dialing your telephone number.
Call Forwarding - Busy/No Answer enables an incoming call to be automatically directed to a predetermined alternate telephone number if the call is not answered after a specified number of rings or encounters a busy signal.
Call Waiting If you have an incoming call while you're already on the line, the Call Waiting feature will alert you. You may then put the first party on hold while you catch your second call. It will greatly reduce missed calls due to a busy phone!
Call Waiting Caller ID This feature displays the second caller's identification when combined with the Caller ID Name and/or Number feature.
Cancel Call Waiting If you have call waiting and are going to make a call that you do not wish to be interrupted you may subscribe to this feature to block the call waiting tones on a per call basis.
Speed Calling 8 Enables you to store up to eight of your most frequently dialed numbers just by dialing a one-digit code. This includes long distance direct dialed numbers.
Speed Calling 30 Enables you to store up to thirty of your most frequently dialed numbers just by dialing a one-digit code. This includes long distance direct dialed numbers.
Three-way Calling This feature lets you turn an everyday two-way phone call into a three-way conversation.
Teen Ring Service Teen Service provides an additional residential number to a residence to enable customers to identify calls to their home without installing a second line.
Selective Call Rejection Permits a subscriber to block an incoming call and/or calls from a maximum of eight (8) specified telephone numbers and functions as a screening service for the customer.
Automatic Recall Permits a subscriber to automatically redial the telephone number of the most recently completed unblocked incoming local call or call attempt.
Automatic Callback Permits the subscriber to automatically redial the last telephone number dialed. This applies regardless of whether or not the original call was answered.
Selective Distinctive Ring Permits the subscriber to preselect a maximum of eight (8) telephone numbers that can be given a distinctive ring or Call Waiting tone for priority calls.
Selective Call Forwarding Permits the subscriber to preselect a maximum of eight (8) telephone numbers to be forwarded to a designated number.
Selective Call Acceptance Permits the subscriber to preselect a maximum of eight (8) telephone numbers from which calls will be accepted.
Customer Originated Trace Permits the subscriber to initiate a trace of the last completed incoming call immediately after the call is terminated.
Calling Number Delivery Allows the transmission of the Calling Party Number (CPN) to the subscriber's access line. Calling Number Delivery allows subscribers to receive the calling number on incoming calls.
Calling Name Delivery Enables the Caller ID subscriber to identify the calling party by displaying the caller's name before the call is answered.
Anonymous Call Rejection Allows the subscriber to automatically reject calls for which the caller has intentionally blocked the calling name/number display information. The subscriber will not be notified when or how many calls have been rejected.
Caller ID Per Line Blocking prevents the subscriber's name and/or telephone number from being displayed when making a call. Subscriber's that have per-line blocking may unblock this feature on a per call basis by dialing *82 from a tone dial line or 1182 from a rotary telephone.
