Eastex Telephone is proud to deliver top-quality broadband Internet and telephone service to thousands of subscribers across 11 counties in rural Texas. Eastex was one of the first telephone cooperatives to be established and remains one of the largest telephone cooperatives in the state of Texas. Eastex currently has 21 exchanges with all digital switching equipment, over 700 miles of fiber optic cable and more than 5,000 route miles of buried cable. The Cooperative serves the counties of Rusk, Panola, Cherokee, Shelby, Harrison, Hardin, Liberty, Tyler, San Jacinto, Polk and Walker with a staff of more than 135 full-time employees and a seven-member board of directors.  The directors and employees are proud of Eastex’s truly enviable growth record and all that has been accomplished from the cooperative’s humble beginnings of 204 subscribers in the Laneville and Goodsprings exchanges in 1952. The main business office is located in Henderson, Texas with branch offices located in Livingston and Waskom, Texas.
