What is the Affordable Connectivity Program?

The Affordable Connectivity Program (ACP) is a Federal Communications Commission (FCC) program that replaces the Emergency Broadband Benefit Program (EBB Program) to help low-income households pay for internet service and connected devices.

If your household is eligible, you can receive:

  • Up to a $30/month discount on your internet service, received in the form of a discount credit issued on your monthly internet bill
  • Up to a $75/month discount if your household is on qualifying Tribal lands

Only one monthly service discount is allowed per household, and the benefit is non-transferable.

How Can You Receive Your Benefit?

Step 1. Check to see if you are eligible at AffordableConnectivity.gov (look for the “Apply Now” button). If you are eligible, print or save your eligibility application details and proceed to Step 2.

Step 2. Apply for the ACP benefit by completing our customer opt-in form. It is imperative that you use the EXACT same information used to check your eligibility in Step 1. Submit your completed form to your local Eastex business office either in person or via email to acpbenefit@eastex.com.

Additional customer paperwork may be required for new accounts. Please note that your benefit will not begin until you have been successfully enrolled in the ACP program through the National Lifeline Accountability Database, a federally administered database that is required for program use. Enrollment errors and rejections are common due to many reasons beyond the control of Eastex Net and its employees. Benefits are not prorated and will typically be credited to the customer’s account in the first full month following successful enrollment in the program.
