Eastex Telephone Cooperative, Inc. would like to recognize Sara Hancock for her 50 years of service. Sara graduated from Nacogdoches Business School in February 1964, and began working for Eastex Telephone on March 2, 1964.
During her tenure, Sara has held various positions at Eastex Telephone including Cashier, Toll Investigator, Data Processing and her current position of Billing Coordinator. Sara has also been instrumental in creating the cover of the Eastex Telephone Directories with her talent for art and her love for photography.
Sara has seen many changes in the telephone industry, distinctly remembering rural four party and two party telephone lines for our subscribers. During the late 60’s and early 70’s, the telephone service lines all became one party lines, and during the early 80’s telephone service advanced from analog to digital technology and fiber optics. Additionally, Sara has been involved in many changes and upgrades through the years, from handwritten postings to the latest technology in computer data entry available today.
Eastex would like to thank Sara for her years of service and for helping us evolve through the years as the industry has grown. Please join us in congratulating Sara for 50 years of service at Eastex Telephone Coop., Inc.
